Bridging Science, Data, and Culture to Drive Sustainable Solutions

NDI believes in the power of science to shape environments where both people and nature can thrive today and for generations to come. We guide projects through every phase, from early ideas to long-term stewardship, approaching design as a continuous, thoughtful process that adapts alongside changing landscapes, communities, and needs. Rooted in a holistic understanding of our interconnected world, we prioritize partnerships that ensure each design is scientifically sound, culturally grounded, and strengthened by the collective knowledge of those closest to the place.

Our Roots. Our Science. Our Vision

Communities, organizations, and institutions are increasingly asked to design places that are resilient, meaningful, and grounded in nature—yet the path forward is often fragmented. Environmental consulting can feel detached from lived landscapes, while landscape design can too frequently overlook the ecological and social systems that sustain them.

Nature Design International (NDI) was created to bridge that gap.

Founded at the intersection of science, innovation, and sustainable development, NDI helps clients move from complexity to clarity. Alongside our partners, we integrate science-based research to create design solutions that work with nature and for people.

Our role is to serve as a trusted guide—bringing ecological insight, cultural awareness, and practical design together to support resilient landscapes, thriving economies, stronger communities, and places built to last.

Founded by two Caribbean-rooted environmental professionals with complementary expertise in ecology, botany, horticulture, and landscape management. They share an alma mater and a passion for nature.

Together, they bring decades of experience across research, field implementation, and design.
